Ngāpuhi ki Waitematā exists to serve, connect, and uplift Ngāpuhi and Māori living in West Auckland. Our role is grounded in whakapapa, manaakitanga, and kaitiakitanga — ensuring our people are informed, connected, and supported to participate confidently in civic, cultural, and community life.

This site is a local Māori media and whakaaro hub. It brings together stories, context, and perspectives that reflect who we are today, while honouring where we come from. We focus on clarity over noise, insight over outrage, and solutions over division.

Our kaupapa is simple: when Māori voices are grounded, informed, and visible, our communities are stronger.

Ngāpuhi ki Waitematā represents Ngāpuhi whānau living in West Auckland, a region shaped by diversity, movement, and connection.

Our work focuses on ensuring Ngāpuhi voices are present in local conversations — in education, health, governance, and community development. This includes supporting participation, sharing information, and creating spaces where whānau feel informed and confident to engage.

Local impact does not always make national headlines, but it matters. It is built through relationships, consistency, and trust. It shows up in hui, schools, community events, and everyday acts of service.
